Roadkills

What are they

The Roadkills are creatures that have mastered the art of mimicking an animals rotting or dismantled corpse. Not a lot is known why or how they have evolved to so perfectly mimic a deceased animal.

Behaviors

Roadkills will most likely take the form of a dead deer but have also been seen as bears, moose, and wolves. Roadkills will never take the form of an animal that is smaller than a wolf this is because any animal that is smaller would not be efficient or strong enough to take down its usual prey. Roadkills are ambush predators that are usually found on the side of the road but can also be found on hiking trails or areas that are commonly hunted.

Roadkills hunt by waiting until something is desperate enough to wander to close to it with bigger animals such as humans, wolves, dogs, and small enough bears. The Roadkill will use veins and other loose organs and muscles it has to wrap around the animal pulling it close enough to impale the animal on one of its exposed bones and waits until the animal bleeds out before consuming it. However with smaller animals like snacks birds or even cats it just uses its veins and whatever it can use to entangle its prey and waits until they run completely out of energy and have no fight left in them.

Biology

Roadkills consume their food by pulling dead animals sometimes even still alive ones into itself absorbing their mass but that doesn’t usually last long because roadkills are known to last long periods of time without eating so most of the mass they get from their prey will mostly be burned off by the time they get to eat again. The one thing that Roadkills will always struggle with is movement. For example a Roadkill will never move even if it sees you, this is because they are very low energy creatures and only hunt or kill things that they know won’t get away fast enough and if it were to try to drag it’s already fragile and decomposing body towards anything would waste to much energy for it to be worth the effort it takes to move.

Survival Guide

So if you ever see a Roadkill just stay away from it and don’t be stupid enough to wander too close you will be safe if you just stay away unless something else has already been quietly stalking you waiting for when you take your guard down.
